Lindsey Silver (they/them) is a nonbinary theater artist who works in scenery, props, puppets, and stage management. Lindsey began creating as a fine artist specializing in sculpture and mixed-media. They fell in love with theater while being a pseudo-scenic charge in high school. Lindsey is a recent graduate from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Theater Design & Technology. They went into college focusing on scenic design but quickly realized their passion for all types of design where hands-on creation was the main focus. It was then that Lindsey decided to go by the title ‘theater artist’ because, at the end of the day, they just want to be making art in any form that is used in a theatrical context.

Lindsey is most excited by theater that is expressionistic and abstract. They crave work that pushes the boundaries of what an audience knows and that willingly transforms this knowledge inside out. They deeply enjoy the story-telling aspect of theater and love that their work is able to give further context and story details to an audience. Their goal with every project is to help make the audience feel like they are as much a part of the story-telling as anyone else on the production. No matter the role on a production, Lindsey will always come inspired to create and ready to collaborate.
