Equinox is a four show fully student-run new play festival that occurs annually at the University of the Arts. Each year, the festival is given a theme that inspires the playwrights. From there four shows are picked and one scenic design is created to house all four shows. The four shows in 2020 had vastly different settings which influenced me to look at the festival and its theme as a whole instead of at each show individually. I wanted each show to have individual elements for the scenic pieces that specifically tied to their show and have the box set be a mixture of elements that represented all the shows.
